Dr. Eugene Sangmuah attended the University of Ghana Medical School in 1993. He completed two internships one at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra Ghana between 1994-1995, and another at Primary Care Internal Medicine, IMC, Brooklyn, NY in 1997. Dr. Eugene completed Residencies at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 2001, and Medical Director Hospitalist Program, at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews, NC from 2007-2009.
Dr. Eugene Sangmuah is an experienced physician with interest in diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and hypertension. Before Matthews Internal Medicine, he was a Hospitalist at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC, from 2004 to 2010 and Stanly Memorial Hospital in Albermarle, NC, from 2002 to 2004. He has also been extensively involved in medical research.
Dr. Eugene Sangmuah has been fully trained on the Geneveve by Viveve and is also certified through the National Laser Institute, PCA Skin Care, Advanced Injectables, and Collagen Induction Therapy. Eugene enjoys supporting patients of all skin colors, gender, and ages. His deep knowledge of anatomy and map each patient's needs individually, provides an educational experience and great results. He is continually studying the newest and beset techniques available to provide the best care for his patients.
